AccuLink Throttle Position Sensor

The AccuLink TPS system is the combination of a sensor, brackets, and linkage that bolts directly to a carburetor.   This system replaces the traditional cable actuated throttle position sensor.    The picture on the right shows AccuLink installed on an AFB carburetor.  The picture on the left shows the individual components.

Why did HGM create this? They believe that great results can be achieved with a very careful installation of the cable operated throttle position sensor. There are hundreds of people (including us!) who use it. However, the cable-operated system can be difficult to get perfect. Some custom fabrication is usually required, and not everybody gets consistently great results.

They studied this problem at length and came up with a solution that fits the most popular carburetors: Holley, Edelbrock AFB, and Rochester QuadraJet. The AccuLink TPS offers the same or better performance with less hassle. It is compact, and has a very direct linkage. Installation and calibration require a few simple steps and no custom fabrication.

AccuLink is only available from HGM Automotive Electronics.  No other company features a throttle position sensor that is as easy to use or install.  Beginning in February 2003, all new COMPUSHIFT kits will ship with the AccuLink TPS for no additional charge.

Because the cable system and the AccuLink TPS use the same basic sensor and compatible wiring harnesses, we also offer an inexpensive upgrade available to existing customers.

The cable operated throttle position sensor will still be available for those applications that require it: specialty mechanical fuel injections, some diesel engines, and carburetors that are not AccuLink compatible.
